one of the hardest games I've ever played in my childhood.

this is a VRC6 cover of The Haunted Graveyard (sometimes known as the Executioner's Graveyard) & The Evil Hill, of the ARCADE/SNES/GEN game [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghouls'n_Ghosts]Ghouls'n Ghost.

EDIT: Necrophageon's edit

Some of the chords are a little off in pattern 02 of your 2A03 squares. First half should be A and C like you have it, but the second half I think is G# and B instead of E and G - Edit below.

Also, what the heck happened at the end???

Other than that, it's pretty cool. Nice job on the Pxx usage.

The ending is better, but it's still making me wince... the timing on everything is all out of sync and you seem to have made some strange choices in notes.

I'm not sure what most folks here use, but when it comes to .SMC players, I've had an excellent time using [url=http://dgrfactory.jp/spcplay/index.html]SNES SPC700 Player. Channel muting is quick and easy. Everything ELSE is in Japanese, but I really don't care about all of that, anyway. That should help you pick out any problems you're having.

The song overall feels overpowering, as well. It's as if all the channels are shouting at me at the same time.

Yes. Try whittling those accuracy issues down and balancing the volume; let's see what you can do.
