I didn't ask for pointless questions. I would expect Fami users to be a little more sophisticated than that. If you insist on asking, Dubstep happens to be my favorite, although I've created songs from many genres. I like challenging myself and I think it's pretty sad that anyone would limit themselves by not exploring different sounds/genres/techniques or anything that helps you develop your skills. Suit yourself if you want to be stagnant in your own growth, but that's not my style.
I do happen to produce different genres, some that are widely different from another (take house, for example, and then heavier metal, rock sort of stuff).
also lol fami users being sophisticated that's funny

well, we'll have to just deal with dubstep and not sound like angry old hags. Dubstep is fine for now...

I like the concept behind dubstep, I just feel that it's best left to be an idea on paper than audibly in practice.
That being said, I'm digging the hat in the noise channel, and I'd do some research on a different kick and snare in the DPCM if you're not going to further toy around with the volume levels on the other channels.
The tri kick and snare are a bit pale in comparison to the rest of the song because you already have all of it louder than the loudest the triangle channel can produce.
Aside from that, keep going, and hopefully something from this will help you out on any original creative ventures.
That's a good point, and I keep trying to bring everything down so that at least the kick can be heard, but I think I'm a little hard of hearing, because it seems so quiet to me.
I have several different kicks and snares (Ripped from roms and songs alike) but I just can't match it. Do you by any chance know how to make my own DMC samples?
The new 0.3.8. beta 4 has a muchly improved sample importer. Just import it from within Fami, you'll have higher quality samples than earlier versions.
RJDMC is pretty cool, but often more than not it doesn't like all the wavs on my hard drive, so Fami's internal importer is pretty damn good.
I don't know how to import (i should probably look in the help files).
On the DMC tab of the instrument editor, the 'Import' button on the right loads a WAV file and converts it.
Also, I haven't heard the original, but this song sounds alright.
