Hiya! I tried out some old C64 games for fun, and I came across this game. I have no idea if it's well known or not, but I got stuck at the title listening to the quite catchy tune. I never got around to play it though, I just sat there listening for several minutes lol.
Anyway, I've been wanting to cover this for a while, and I finally got around to do it! I found out that VRC6 worked out great for this tune, and I tried to cover it as accurately as possible, and I think I did a decent job.
I noticed some weird stuff happening when exported to nsf, and I suspect that may be because I'm using an old FT version. I *really* hope this doesn't happen in newer versions of FT as well.
By the way, is it just me, or does the VRC6 sound kinda detuned sometimes?
It doesn't sound detuned in this song. If it is, the pitches are at least in sync. If they aren't, something has gone wrong, or you're in a Balinese gamelan and think that's a good thing.
Digressions aside, it sounds good, and as far as I can tell it's accurate to the C64.

I have a signature. It's an achievement.
wow, i think this is the only tune i've seen that uses vrc6 sqaures and saw by themselves, without the 2a03 squares and tri. it creates quite a unique sound!
Cool to hear ^_^ I didn't actually plan to use VRC6 at all, but it turned out that the 2A03 squares didn't go low enough to be used as bass, and I didn't think the triangle would fit. So that's why I just used the VRC6
