An as-yet-unfinished piece to let you know how I'm getting along with FT, so YOU can let ME know how I'm getting along with FT. Slam it, pan it, shake it, bake it, whatever. Enjoy!

I like the candy organ sound in a weird way. It adds an interesting touch. The song also reminds me of Kirby.

I think you're doing pretty good man. Interesting little track you got there. I don't feel it's hyper enough to really be Kirby music, but I do see this in a very similar type of game. Something with a cute character in a colorful world lol.

i dig the vrc6 squares, but I can't say i'm digging that arp instrument, or the section in the middle. arp instrument seems too "staccato," maybe elongate it just a bit.

This is an insult and off topic. If you don't have any constructive criticism to add, this isn't the thread for you

aww poor kirby

anyway it's cute! I like the melody and what you added, but its abit repetitive in my taste (especially the sequence), i felt the last frame should've been used earlier (and expanded buuut of course its unfinished lol) but it's creative! keep it up

Thanks Mario. I thought in reply to that that I didn't want to change the bass and rhythm too much because there's so much going on in the lead... but then that got me to thinking that maybe too much goes on in the lead in my tunes, so that's really helpful! Maybe I'll add those bars earlier, we'll see.

O_O OMG, how on earth did you know how to get those sounds so perfect? It doesn't even sound like it's made with FT. It sounds like its for Genesis or GBA or something. This is F***in' amazing. You've been on here for a couple days, but how long have you been famitracking? That is skill.

Aw, shucks! You're making me blush! Thanks man, all this positivity is so nice. Well, I joined the day I after downloaded famitracker actually... but I've been making tunes in my rookie style for a few years now, mostly with FL or ACID. I don't know, I just wing it! I'm glad you think it's so great!

Oh nothing... Just one of the most iconic Nintendo figures ever after Mario.

Haha, well Mario was the last time I owned a Nintendo - I like FT through nostalgia for the most part (yes, a NES when I was about 8 or so, then I got a Megadrive and parted ways with Nintendo). I googled him of course, and I've seen the pics of him before (and my girlfriend knows all about him too!) But what I was really wondering is which tune were you guys referring to? There are a lot of different Kirby OSTs on youtube.

Kirby's Adventure for the NES might be a good place to start if you want classic Kirby music.
