I made my own music for a game. No one was replying to the old topic, so I created a new one. I created a complete song which I'm not using anymore, but I want to compare to an incomplete song that I made to replace it to see what I still need to improve on, or if it even got worse. I know it's not perfect, so please don't say that there's nothing wrong with it.

Ooh very neat, it had a very "epic" sound to it, as if the heroes of the game where taking off on their huge journey.

The loop was a little strange though. It just sort of cut off all the instrumentals suddenly, and then just popped back to the beginning.

If you are talking about the abandoned title theme, it's one of the reasons why I restarted it.
If you are talking about my non-abandoned title theme, it's because I'm not finished. That's one of the reasons why I'm looking for help. I want to know how to do the rest of it. This place in the song, minus the last frame, is where I want the song to change a little bit, but keep it sounding like it's only a title theme for an 8-bit NES game.

I don't think abandoning that first FTM was necessary. It did however need a little bit of work, but I kinda like it.

The second one is very nice as well. As for which direction to go, i'm not sure myself. I guess that's always up to the creator. Maybe i'll try to help you out if I have the inspiration to do so.

wow, i really like the abandoned title theme. it has a lot of unique ideas that work really real and has a distinct attitude about it. needs a bit of work on making full use of the chips, from a sound design perspective, but it's really cool!

edit: especially starting at frame 06 <3

@gyms: Yeah. I like the style, but just not for the title theme. What needs improvement? EDIT: Wait, frame 6 is good or bad?

Really? A bump?
I think that the abandoned theme sounds like a ghost house. The current title theme sounds like it belongs in a Mega Man game.
