do you plan on actually participating in the community here or was this post just to get your soundcloud out there? some of these are pretty cool, would be nice to have an FTM or NSF.

yeah, I'd like to see how you pulled some of that stuff off.

oh, and like danooct1 said, sub4sub doesn't get you very far :P
I subscribe/follow people for the content, and the content alone. Make good content, and people will most likely come by themselves

I actually do plan on participation here so I can learn new things. I thought it would be a good idea for other people to share. Just trying to use social media effectively, jeez.

I know this, and I only sub people for their content as well. I'm not trying to create a sub4sub, but comment for a comment and a listen at least. I'll only sub people I like and I would never expect them to sub back.

I'll post some .ftm files. They won't sound as polished, but that's okay.

Also the titles of them are all wrong lol.
1. Energy Depletion
2. Gone
3. Still Floating
4. Persona Transplant

I just uploaded the 4th one onto soundcloud btw.

Neat tunes! I have a soundcloud but only use it to harass a few people and that's about it.
They won't sound as polished, but that's okay
I think you did more damage by doing whatever post processing was present on the soundcloud versions. The bass was muddier and the body of the other waveforms was brittle. Everything just seemed a bit unsure of itself.

The current loud-wars special something( "commercial" ) sound usually involves cramming the precious transient detail and dynamics of any type of music into looking like square waves in the end. That polished sound you're looking for comes straight out of famitracker already, you just gotta pick the right tones and design approach to give the nsf(or FT render) that extra punch and shine.

I honestly totally agree. But when I export it from famitracker it sounds terrible and I try to fix it with post-productin hence resulting in what I have in my soundcloud.

Do you have any tips to fix it?

It's more a matter of opinion than anything IMO; I think it sounds great both with and without the post production.

You can't expect to get much punch/fullness out of the 2a03 anyways, but that doesn't mean it'll sound any worse.

Wow, I really like what you have to say.

Once it comes down to it, I guess it's really my own personal preference.

And to that other guy who seems like he has a massive dildo permanently up his butt,
I'm sorry you have to be such a narcissist who has to only post negative things on this thread. Why don't you care about sharing your own music?
When you stop being such an egotist, you will actually get more attention, believe it or not.

I'm still an amateur and I'm trying to utilize the best ways to use famitracker, so why don't you give me some realistic feedback than rather just calling me 'noob' to the scene. I obviously don't know any real etiquette that revolves around this so just be nice and let me know what I can improve on.

Well, posting more than once in a row on purpose is sort of against the rules here, though danooct1 was just a bit a blatant about it I suppose.

I'd just try to keep your posts more condensed, and if someone's being a dick I'd try not to feed the fire. It'll probably be dealt with.

Anyways,

bak on top1c gize lulz

Like you said before, your melodies are probably what need the most work. Not to say they're bad, but I'd try to find a better balance between sporadic and linear. Otherwise, you're pretty damned good at this from what I've seen.
