Well, I thought I'd share my second tune with everyone, before I give it a rest: it's an old funk tune of mine. What do you think? Let me know, and enjoy!

Hmm, well that's a very broad question! haha, what is it that you think is mediocre about your work? I'd say as a general rule, to begin with, keep it simple. Find a melody in your head and follow it. It's very easy to stray away, stumble things that sound "ok" and go with them because you don't have a lot of self belief - my advice is to shy away from that! Get something in your head and keep at it until it sounds like you want it. It may take longer, but once you've learnt to produce the sound you want, your pieces will just get better and better. Perhaps your problems are different to that, I don't know! If you have any specific questions you think I can answer I'd be happy to Plus, if you have any work you wouldn't mind me criticising (constructively) I would be happy to take a look at it.

It's a really nice tune. Really like the Sawtooth effects!

Like the tune, just wish you would've made use of all the expansion chips you collected. (though now thinking about it, probably would've been difficult)

Haha, well, when I opened them up I had no idea which I was going to utilise and which I wasn't. Once I got going I don't think there was any way for me to collapse or get rid of the unused or unwanted ones... oh well, doesn't make much difference if they sit there does it?
If I'd have used them all at once it it would have been difficult, yeah! Coulda chopped and changed instruments more, but it wasn't really needed.
