I figured since the soundtrack is out I'd share this little thing with you guys.

This was a piece I made while working on Nitronic Rush.

It's a remix of this piece

(I personally prefer Jordan's original one, but whatever)

All the parts to this track were made in Famitracker, then broken into layers and mixed in FL studio.
If you've played the game, you'll know that there's layers of audio that come in when you're doing different things, and for each one I used a different expansion chip, MMC5, VRC6 and VRC7, and they're incorporated into the soundtrack version of the song toward the end, though I think it's neater hearing it in game.

I've included the main FTM file for the base audio that was looped in game. The layer bits are in separate FTM files, but they aren't that interesting.

I'd like to know what you all think.

Why are there VRC6 and VRC7 instruments?

Sounds pretty faithful.

This sounds really cool.

I'm glad you guys like it, so I've attached the other .ftm files, I warn you they're pretty hackneyed and repetitive as they weren't really designed to be played the entire duration of the song, only to fade in while the player was doing something.

Here's a video of the game in action with the song
