I made this a while ago and was messing around with it today.

The first time through it plays normal speed, second time really slow, sort of has a cool ambiance to it.

Which way sounds better to you?

I just realized I put the wrong speed for the second loop, fixed the FTM.

I personally like the slower version specifically when the sweeps come in. Those sweeps remind me of the Double Dragon theme, which is an awesome song. Overall, I think the song is better fast, but it's good a great groove while slow and I admit I listened to it on repeat for at least 6 playthroughs (meaning only the first time was fast).

Keep up the good work!

What? Are you talking about the P7F?

As decent as it is, golfertrytek, you clearly have never heard of rainwarrior's NSF Importer (either that, or you assume it's meant for copying existing NSFs into FTMs the lazy way).

Just find the original NSF for Rad Racer, import the tracks you want & analyze them. It'd be up to you to port/translate whatever effects the imported NSF produces when you work on your cover.

I don't know what you consider everywhere, but I only found 3 wrong notes in the Triangle which were then repeated in the patterns of only the first 4 frames, and maybe 3 or 4 more in the rest of the song.

I consider it a success as I did this song completely by ear without the use of an NSF, as I didn't even know about NSF players and importers until today.

And thank you Tech for the tip, although that does make me feel quite lazy just being able to create a song with one click.

Here is the perfected version.

EDIT:I accidentally uploaded the same incorrect file, my apologies. NOW is is corrected.

Most of the wrong notes are in the first 6 seconds of the song.

I heard a lot of wrong notes as well. I love the original song, so I was hoping for a little more accuracy.

edit: Your new version still has some wrong notes.
Frame 00: rows 012, 016, 028, 033 (in hex: 0C, 11, 1C, 21)
Frame 02: row 06, etc. - in the bass, all those Fs should be Es.
The volume envelope at the start of the song is not punchy enough.

For the melody - there needs to be decay right before each next note.

This tool's been around for a while; rainwarrior's intention in creating it wasn't for lazy lamers to convert existing NSFs into 900 BPM tracks & claim them as their own "covers." It's a great analysis tool that nobody should do without (especially if they're striving for accuracy in their covers).
