The DPCM and the noise channel don't have to do the exact same thing.

Your reverb effect, while correct on its face, doesn't sound as good as applied. Move it one space further down.

Notice how that makes things seem weird? That's because you need to use more than one frame in the square 2 channel to make it sound right.

I'm assuming what you found for DPCM was Bucky's DPCM rips. Excellent! If you're looking for a better bass, look into the A Boy and His Blob rips (the bass kick is $E000, btw.) That collection comes with a text file telling you what everything is. Experiment, try them all.

Wait, both assigned samples are the same castlevania snare? I think you accidentally loaded the wrong sample once, bud.

Also, what time signature is that supposed to be, again? You seem to be cutting your last beat in half.

To be nice after pointing out plenty of things, attached is what I touched up in five minutes. I added another instrument for you and dicked around a little.

I changed the square 2 a little to give you an idea of how you're supposed to follow through with a continuous reverb, used the ABoyandhisBlob_$E000 sample, totally herp-derped all over that triangle channel to display various ideas as to where you could go with this song (or other genres you attempt to make via famitracker,) changed the volumes on square 1, square 2, and noise to help emphasize the power that is volume control.

That being said, in the future, remember two rules about posting your work here:

1) If it isn't worth your time, it probably isn't worth ours.
2) If you don't learn anything from your mistakes over time, don't expect a reply.

That being said, hey man, glad to know someone else lurked for a while before signing up. Good luck and I'll be glad to hear your progress.

Thank you for you advice! i will try to apply them in the next version. Good job on your version of it, btw.

You are absolutely correct!

yes, I didn't really like the sound of that...
Also, what time signature is that supposed to be, again? You seem to be cutting your last beat in half.
I feel like after a few years, i should know to think about that...

anyway, just thought I should give a better breakdown of what I thought while reading your comment.
