I'm so happy to finally be releasing this song! I've had it in the works for quite a while.
It's a song inspired way too much by commandycan's Spanish Pirate Robot Frenzy, which has got to be my favourite chiptune ever. Either way I hope you like it!!!
It's also my BotB Winter Chip 7 wildchip entry. No naming mistakes this time!!!!
Though, I sorta rushed the ending because I'm tired and I was pressured for time (I finished this instead of writing a paper like I was supposed to). It's a shame I can't update entries, but at least I'll be able to improve it for myself. I'll just call this a prototype version liek it's some sort of robot or something gi0adgujowsgi0wsg go listen already

just how much work WAS put into it? like pie says it was heavily inspired by spanish pirate robot frenzy, but it sounds almost exactly like it. sorry to say I'm not a huge fan of the melody in this at all.

Yes, this was my biggest fear of all when making this. I love the song, but I would never want to replicate it! I felt guilty for using those arps near the beginning, as they're pretty much identical to commandycan's.
One thing I did try to do was to create a blend of styles between myself and commandy - whilst the main structure of the song remains similar to SPRF's, I did add (perhaps rapid and sudden) changes of pace to give a bit more life, depth, and otherwise variance that SPRF didn't have. After adding these sections, I believe that the structure reflects my _______ Invades Equestria series more than SPRF - slow paced intro, main riff, a different paced section, main riff, another slow/sad section, obligatory key change, chord ending things.
But, each to their own. Glad you liked it, at least.

Yeah, I couldn't stop thinking of _ Invades Equestria, especially with the sfx before the main riff. I couldn't help imagining that there was yet another cover I couldn't get. It's nice, but the constant note slides make the melody sound a bit intoxicated. I guess, though, with the pirate style, that it could be the intended effect, in which case good job.
