I've made around 5 songs, and none of them is good... (mediocre at best). Criticize them, hate them, enjoy as your ears start to hurt. A few things to note, though: almost everything I know I've discovered on my own (8bitdannoct1's tutorial only explains the basics), I've never made a cover of a song, aside from Famitracker I've never composed anything (I only know how to play the drums)... etc.
Comments for each song and personal ratings:
13 (which I've named "Dreams and Nightmares"): maybe my best song. I tried to make a song that could be played when the main character is trapped inside the dream of another character, trying to go back to the real world. This is my second song made with Famitracker. Personal rating: 4/10
9 (which I've named "Planet Krakya"): the first half of the song is pretty good, I like it a lot. I rushed the second half, so it is pretty messy. I'll work on it some day. This is my third song made with Famitracker. Personal rating: 3/10
14 (which I've named "Lost Courage"): I like the song, but somehow find it isn't that good. It competes against 13 for my best song to date. This is my fourth song made with Famitracker. Personal rating: 4/10
Castle 1 (without wind) V4: although it is an experimental song (kind of), in which each channel has its own time, I've put a lot of effort into it. Not bad, not good. My fifth song made with Famitracker. Personal rating: 3.5/10
Password 1 V5: my first attempt to do a password song (in a Mega Man style, obviously), although someone suggested it could work as a Wily cutscene song. My sixth song made with Famitracker. Personal rating: 3.5/10.
One more thing to note: on the songs where there are 7 rows (although I never use the extra ones), you'll find both the instruments I've created and TheSyntaxSinTax's instruments (I liked them a lot, and I don't really think it is something bad to use them... although correct me if I'm doing something wrong and should not use them).
Oh, and I didn't upload my REAL fifth song because I'll make it again... so it will count as my seventh song, I suppose.

Sorry, but only one thing here counts as terrible work. You are not allowed to call your stuff terrible.
Castle 1 is an ambitious project, but I like the idea of each channel having its own timing. What you're attempting is sort of like polyrhythms, if I'm not mistaken. Try and make the different timings match up every so often to add some cohesiveness to the song and I could see this one turning into something pretty awesome and well beyond my own capabilities (although that is admittedly not saying much).
They do have room for improvement, but i have seen far worse first tries at famitracker before.
Also (if you haven't), take a look at the wiki, there are lots of useful information there that will help you.
Maybe I want to be excellent with Famitracker with my first compositions, so I tend to think what I do is bad.
14 is good, I agree. I also agree with the fact that I should make some little corrections to Castle 1, to make it sound better, but have the same concept. As for the MP3 version of 14 (Lost Courage) that was posted... I actually thought it was pretty cool to hear my own song made by another person! My only complain with it is that some notes (kind of) cut the other notes... but I still like it.

Other than that, all I'll say is you need practice.
Well, I took a liking to 13. I liked its tranquillity and simplicity. I made a couple changes:
-Made the constant noise into something that sounds like waves. Kinda changes the uses, unless you want to interpret the waves as breathing.
-Optimised some of the music and instruments; there were some unnecessary things in some of the instruments and patterns. For example, for the volume control, any change in volume is constant and does not need changing. Setting the volume of an instrument in the instrument editor means that at the end of the string, if you set the volume to 15, for example, the volume will stay at 15. This means that having 15 15 15 15 15 as your volume string can be optimised to simply 15. When adjusting volume using the volume column in the pattern editor, the same goes: when you had two f's in a row in the second square channel, the second was unnecessary because the volume wasn't being adjusted by effects or anything.
-I also increased the max size of the patterns to 96 rows; this will better accommodate the time signature (3/4).
-I fixed the Vxx commands; they were improperly made. The duty cycle for the square channels on the standard chip go from 0-3. Any higher than that produces the same effect as the third duty cycle.
-The second effect column was useless; effects only affect the channel they are placed in unless they specifically are global (speed, tempo, global volume, etc). Check here for the effect reference.
You are right. I don't think they are THAT bad, though (to tell the truth, I've been told I can be very harsh sometimes, and maybe that was the case with the post)...
I would never post something I REALLY think is bad.
EDIT: Oh, and by the way, I really like the way 13 has been changed (of course, I'm talking about the post above this one). Its really nice to know people like my first compositions, and actually change them to their liking.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I've made some changes to 14 so it sounds better. You got a good start on it, but I felt that there was just something missing.
