Did this one for Winter Chip VII over at BotB. I also decided to go classical so no DPCM was harmed. God this one was a nightmare, I kept running into roadblocks so I don't think I will ever be listening to it again hahahaha.

Hopefully you guys will like it though. I did a whole lot of weird stuff with the sound design, so it should be at least interesting.

Also, I hear allot of Diad influence in this. Seems like someone's been listening to the Great Void

For sure, we were both discussing Diad_-_The_Chaotic_Vastness_(Perihelion)[1].ftm the other day on chat, what an amazing track. Maybe he Subconsciously used some influences.

Mex: LOL! I see what you did there on frame 20 (Hex)

thanks bros!

and yes, that ending portion was totally a ref to a diad tune. i wanted to have the first chord progression of the tune to return, and it just ended up sounding the way it did. after doing it i realized it was really similar to diad, but once again i didn't have enough patience to be creative hahahaha.

also fez, at first i didn't know what you meant by frame 20 (i was thinking about rj1 kinda) but OMG now i see what you mean ahahaha. it's the exact same notes for the first half as well, that was totally by accident! i guess either i'm developing a style, or i'm getting exhausted creatively.

probably both :P

Really liking this. Parts of it sound atmospheric, and you have me looking at the triangle channel in new ways. Frames 0x18 to 0x1B remind me of Terranigma for some reason.

I have so much to learn. You guys use amazing tricks I don't find in any of the old NES game soundtracks I've been looking through. I honestly feel like I'm gonna have to write some of these things down with examples so I can reference back to them easily until they become second nature.

This is really great! Love how quickly it progresses from one idea to the next without ever sounding awkward. Also love the ending (specially the noise channel.)
