Tried making a basic cover of the song, and then this... happened?

Not bad, but the main Organ riff is a bit off. I made a little correction.

But where's the correction? You forgot to upload.

EDIT: He got to it before I could submit!

By the way, I agree with you on the organ riff being off. That & the fact that the entire song sounds pretty laid back compared to the darker & more violent mood of the original.

A change of key & tempo is needed here.

Whoops, didn't notice that riff being off.
Though the tempo choice was a deliberate attempt at making it a bit more... mournful? It didn't work out as well as I'd hoped, but it's still oddly one of (IMO) the best sounding things I've made recently, so I figured I'd get some feedback on what I could work on.

Nice fix, Fezuke.

And Yorfeneger; this is indeed one of your better works, though there are still a couple of things you can learn from this.

The reason why your song sounded more laid back than the original is because of the key you've chosen for your cover (you've used a set of notes that makes your song sound more cheerful than mournful, aside from the slower tempo making it sound more relaxed).

In my opinion, I'd use a speed of 4 with a tempo of 168; I find that a good tempo for this track.

That's a nice organ sample. Did it come form anywhere in particular?

Probably got it from my video (dux.ftm) on youtube showing off my n106 small waveform converter. It's the same wave I don't care if it's used in everything ever.

It was exactly that, actually. I'm fairly sure that I subconsciously stole some part of pretty much every instrument from somewhere - making my own is still kind of difficult.
Anyway, thanks for the advice! It's been a real help.
