I've been thinking, wouldn't it be awesome if I could create a whole album with chiptunes? I know I'm not nearly the greatest composer ever, or not even on this forum, but here's my first attempt at a song that may very well become part of an album. I may be aiming way too high, but I really don't give a shit right now.

Pretty good man. I feel like i've heard frame 12 before but not sure where. I think you have the potential to write an album for sure. I couldn't because my music is so loopy, I guess I write FTM's thinking it's always going in a game.

Edit: Now I know where i've heard it, it's in your ChipStep EP ftm starting at Frame 3. Not quite the same, but gave me a similar vibe as soon as I heard it.

Make an album! Even if you have one buyer, that guy would -probably- be me.

What about The Odyssey? Won't that be an album when you finish it?

I suppose, but The Odyssey consists of loops instead of full songs, so it may not be album material.

Nice.

Your sound design could really be improved though - the percussion is a little overpowering and the snare is just plain ugly.

It doesn't really seem to change much either - there's never any more leads, for example. You seem to use chords a lot too, and chords are nice, but the constant use of them just fills up your ears and never gives them a break, if that makes sense. It's like, you can never bring anything new in to surprise your audience because there's constantly a sound playing, and it begins to sound too busy and complex, and that might put your listeners off. I like frame 0D because it finally gives me a break and it made me say "ooh" which is a good response to be getting~

That's not to say don't use chords. Just use them in moderation. Frame 10's chords I quite like, for example.

I think I'm going to have a stab at remixing this - I've got some ideas of how it could work - but I'm a little bit tied up right now. Maybe tomorrow or something. Hold up a sec and watch this space.

I'd buy this before anything I can get at Best Buy, I know that much.

I'm with InterrobangPie on this, honestly. The music is very, very good, but you do have a slight problem with your percussion (it can be improved through different samples, eased volume on your noise channel & use of the Zxx effect to modify your samples' intensity).

Fixed snares, added hihats, adjusted a few drum beats.
