No need for introduction, as it sounds as if a spambot wrote it. That's not important. What is important is what I'm doing. It's a Cave Story cover. I've been a long time lurker of this area, and found something like it, but worked with a VRC6. This does not make me a happy camper. I stuck with no expansion chip and stuck with the ol' 2A03. It's a *.FTM in the works, but here's a list of what I got:

1. Access
2. Balcony
3. (Unfinished) Cave Story

Inside is a decent DPCM instrument with the ORG samples. In another octave is a *.DMC with both bass and snare drums simultaneously.

Don't want to download the *.FTM? Just check the [url=http://soundcloud.com/player-3/sets/cave-story-2a03-cover/]SoundCloud for it. Here's to hoping I didn't accidentally post this in the wrong section again.

The triangle sweep down in "Access" sounds really stupid.

By the way, did you ever download the .s3m conversion of the cave story soundtrack? It gives a much better reference for the original songs.

Those DPCMs :o

I may have to steal them for my originals, if you don't mind :o

I'm sure it sounded stupid, but it was to represent that very low tom at the beginning and middle of the loop.

*.S3M conversion? I might have to look for this one.

They're not even mine. Like I said, straight from the *.ORG, so they're Pixel's.

Low toms are a quick sweep down and then a really long low note. So the stupid little sweep shouldn't be there.

Sorry, got the file format wrong, it's .xm, not .s3m.

The conversion tool is available at [url=http://www.cavestory.org/downloads_musictools.php]http://www.cavestory.org/downloads_musictools.php and is called Org2XM.
This way you can use Modplug tracker to see it on a tracker-style grid instead of the ORG editor.

Sorry, but your version of Balcony just can't compare to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El54WnMgiyo

Also, the bass in that low of an octave is pretty hard to hear in the Title Theme. Maybe bring it up an octave?

Not too bad so far.
