On the Flixel forums, someone asked if anyone had an 8-bit xmas tune they could use. So I wrote one. I don't know whether they'll use it or not, but I like it, so I decided to share!

It's an arrangement of Jingle Bells :-D I named it "Dashing Through the Snow", since it's backwards.

Oh, it's backwards? That's easy to fix.

(Nice arrangement, btw.)

I have never seen anyone remake a song in reverse. That's pretty cool.

Doesn't sound backwards at all. Really, sounds almost exactly like the original. And then rainwarror's reversing sounds strange.

I don't know what Ctrl+R is there for, other than to make jokes about things being backwards.

Besides, you can't actually press Ctrl+R and expect an actual inversion, to actually invert a melody you need to rewrite it on the tracker anyway.

But back at the point in hand, that's an awesome song, Auriplane.

I declare you to be silly. I meant the A and B sections were swapped! :-) So it starts with "Dashing Through the Snow" rather than "Jingle Bells". That's why I called it that.

Isn't it supposed to start with the Dashing Through the Snow verse? "Jingle Bells" is the refrain.

I did my own little cover of it, I don't know if it's any good, I whipped it up in about 5 minutes ><

Huh. Is it really? I guess we always sang it the wrong way around, then :-D

I didn't know about that feature. I just tried it (on some random piece of mine) and I can tell you what it's there for. It's to give you ideas! You might hear a melodic idea you can steal, tweak, and call your own. (I've written at least one song with similarly chaotic methods... I was messing around in Modplug Tracker by creating chords by copying columns and shifting them up or down in pitch. The result was cacophonic with this particular song but through the cacophony I got the idea for a new song, so I wrote it!)
