I was just cleaning out my Temp directory, and saw a bunch of Backup FTM files sitting there. Firefox saves all incoming downloads there, then Famitracker makes a backup for some reason, even though I never saved anything.

I had the "create backups" feature turned on. Is that what's it's supposed to do? I'd expect it to create backups when trying to overwrite a file, not when reading it.

I think FTM files from old versions of FamiTracker get an automatic backup for some reason. (Don't know why though.)

When the create backups feature is on, it will copy the original FTM file into a *.bak file before saving any changes or once the FTM was opened.
