So, my English class studied the Odyssey recently, and I thought to myself, "Hey, it may be cool if I made tunes in FamiTracker to go along with the book!" AND YES IT IS
I've only completed one song out of the thirty-five I'm planning on making, so this project will probably take a while. This also means that the MM18-2 Project will be on hold indefinitely (I know you're all absolutely HORRIFIED by this news). The game I envisioned is a Zelda-JRPG hybrid, similar to what Adventure of Link tried to do, and I'm also trying to make it in a similar style to those games. Constructive criticism is welcome.
The song I created was the overworld theme for Telemachus (#12).

I really like this idea!
Good work on that Overworld theme too! I'm a big fan of the melody (although the percussion seems a little overbearing). Can't wait to see more!
Here's an update. I finished one song (#26 - Underworld), but #13 and #30 are both in their primitive stages. Also, I left Pie a present in song 26.
The Underworld is supposed to suggest sadness and not invoke fear, as most Underworlds do. This is because in The Odyssey, the Underworld is where all dead people go, and it is important not to make a comparison to the Christian Hell. The Underworld in Homer's eyes was a neutral, kind of dreary place, where souls would be forever trapped. It was said that the Underworld mirrored the surface, and that there were certain areas which were better than others. Plus, Odysseus meets his dead mother in the Underworld as well, which contributes to the tone of the song.

I completed two more songs: The Suitors (#8 ), and Ocean (#11). In The Odyssey, the suitors are the men who are trying to court Odysseus' wife, Penelope, while he is trying to return home from Troy. Odysseus' journey eventually takes ten years. Along with trying to marry Penelope, the suitors are using up Odysseus' wealth he earned plundering various cities. The reason this song appears before Odysseus is first met (song #19 onwards), is because the Odyssey featured an unusual order of events for storytelling. The epic begins with Telemachus trying to find more information about his father's return. These first five chapters or "books" are called the Telemachiad, which refers to Telemachus' journey. In my OST, this covers songs #5-#17. When we meet Odysseus, he is living on Calypso's island. Calypso is a nymph who has held Odysseus captive for seven years and forced him to provide her with sexual pleasure. The only reason Odysseus is allowed to leave is because Zeus commanded her to. Then, Poseidon, outraged that Odysseus escaped, destroyed his ship and he washed up against the Phaeacian coast. There, he tells the story to the Phaeacians of his plundering at Troy and along the current Turkish coast, his encounter with the Lotus-Eaters, his battle against the Cyclops, his encounter with the cannabilistic Laestrygonians, his year-long affair with the nymph Circe, his journey to the Underworld where he wishes to find a prophecy, his scuffle with the Sirens, and his battle with the monster Scylla, and the whirlpool Charybdis. He actually washes up against Calypso's island at the end of this tale.
TL;DR CHRONOLOGICAL TIMELINE OF THE ODYSSEY:
Troy - Lotus Eaters - Cyclops - Laestrygonians - Circe - Underworld - Sirens - Scylla/Charybdis - Calypso - Telemachus' journey - Battle with the suitors on Ithaca, Odysseus and Telemachus' home island
