So I made another thing. This was the first thing I threw into NSF Importer, and I finally decided to give it a proper (read: not 900BPM) cover.

I wonder if Tim Follin was working on the music for Solstice at about the same time as he was working on Ghouls and Ghosts for the C64, 'cause the melody in this track sounds very similar to the style used in Ghouls and Ghosts. Never noticed that before.

Amazing job nonetheless, anyone who can cover Follin's work this well has my utmost respect.
Great job.

I'm going to adhere with my fellow critiques here and say this is pretty awesome!

Here's some constructive criticism (aka nitpicking on my part!):

1. Square 2, pattern 0x0A (which plays at frame 0x0B): the instrument 06 does not play the correct high-pitched grace note (it should be slightly higher);

2. Although I realise this would be immense work, the whole tune uses Famitracker's default period table (no manual Pxx adjustments), and as a result, your cover is a bit higher in pitch than the original tune.

3. Triangle, frame 02. You re-used pattern 0x01 but you shouldn't have; the first four notes, in order, should be B-2; C#3; G#2; B-2.

That's all I could spot for now. Once again, this is excellent! Great job!

Correct you are. I've re-uploaded the song (in the OP) with these fixed.
Period table
Yeah, I purposely avoided messing with the period table (read: manually Pxx'ing almost every note). It sounded close enough for me as I was doing it, even though I knew I wasn't 100% at that point. I completely cribbed this from NSF Importer anyway, so 100% fans can go to that.

Correcting the pitch table is kind of a useless exercise. It's not like he was using some special tuning system, it's just based at a different arbitrary pitch.
