Wow, I accumulate junk FTMs VERY fast... the last time I had one of these threads was a little before I ragequitted, which is technically not long because I didn't use FT at all during that time...

IGNORE MODULE NAMES AND IF I HAD POSTED ANY OF THESE BEFORE, IGNORE THAT TOO

while uploading files: well, this is a small list... crap this really isn't much for about a month for me...

If famitracker was solely used to make drum beats, you would probably be one of the best.

As for everything else, a few things were okay here and there, but what I notice the most about your music is that every single song you write follows the exact same style, and everything sounds pretty much the same. To be perfectly frank I don't believe this style is getting you anywhere at all and the way you present it can sometimes sound kind of mediocre.

Try writing more songs, except with different instrumentation. Always remember not to have duplicate channels or overpowering melodies/basslines etc. Keep it simple and try to work from the ground up, but in a different way.
<<EDIT>> Or try doing a cover, I don't see you do very many covers if at all, K^4. It would be a great way to learn different styles and apply that to your compositions.

If this is the only style that you can compose in, than at least try to listen really hard for discord and try to remove it as much as possible.

I think that's pretty much the most help I can give here.

only in kinkinkijkin songs is it absolutely necessary to use an expansion chip so you can have five channels playing the same note.

@kin: If the famitracker forums were solely used to completely disregard any advice you receive on it, you would probably be one of the best.

I still think you should try and pick up a new hobby, but hey, your call.

EDIT: Come to think of it, "horror fun" has some potential, but it needs a new progression altogether, and it needs to be developed into something bigger than just that.

I understand where you are all coming from, and jrlepage, I have tried following the advice people give me, but then whenever I do people start giving me all these contradicting things I should "do with all of my next music" and I just get confused, so when I do follow any of that advice now, I try to make sure you hear it but your don't.

And dan, I haven't done such since I started nargahl again. Oh and I've made songs with the 2a03 recently, they just suck so bad posting them would start a flame war between people trying to help me get better and people like you who are just flaming my work.

Zeph, I have been doing covers recently, none are done yet and most suck. Except of one cover that was pretty good but missing stuff... I'm not posting that because my computer crashed before I saved it.

Cover a song, even if its crap you still learn something.

I'm tring and everyone hates them, but I like them, so whether I post them or not you'll still learn something about notes/styles.

In my opinion that's one big thing that bores people in songs.

I'll just quote Lepage quoting me.

Repeating our previous advice is getting awfully boring.
Oh and I've made songs with the 2a03 recently, they just suck so bad posting them would start a flame war between people trying to help me get better and people like you who are just flaming my work.
You're completely wrong. We suggested you try working with 2A03 as it might simplify the song-writing process for you. From there, we can give you further advice; posting them is the first step.
Your excuse about a flame war breaking out makes absolutely no sense, but I'll refrain from talking about that. The fact is, you are being flamed because you are NOT LISTENING to the advice being given to you.

Just post them already.

Don't give up no matter how much crap they give you, If you really want to be a good composer than just try the advice you get from people, if it sounds bad your supposed to put it up for the :D learning experience :D (and we all just love learning don't we) I will always try to help, but just keep tring.
Don't give up no matter how much crap they give you
I wouldn't call it crap, seeing as how all this advice has been given to kinkinkijkin over 9000 fucking times...

Kin, use 2A03. FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, IF YOU'RE GONNA COMPOSE SOMETHING THAT YOU SEEMINGLY WANT INPUT ON, USE 2A03.

What's that? You have used 2A03? Then please post your 2A03 songs here. Or something.

Yes, people can be harsh. But it gets very annoying when half of all the drama-infested threads on this forum are because of you and your refusal to avoid using expansions.

so stop using them? Maybe stop duplicating channels too? Try covering some songs and disregard what you think sucks about them?

thank you? thank you.

I'm trying to help you out here, should I even bother?

Deleting Famitracker.exe from your hard drive would be a start.

I really tried being constructive, but as has been pointed out, constructiveness is something you throw straight into the garbage, so I really don't see why I - or indeed anyone else - should bother.
