Hey, Kage here and I'm new to both music composition and famitracker. I need some CC for my first tune so I can hopefully get a little better.
I appreciate your time and any comments!

MY GOD!

THIS.. THI-- TH-...

THIS IS GLORIOUS FOR A FIRST COMPOSITION!!! I have a feeling you're going to have a great experience in using this program if you keep doing like this. This is ONE HEEELL OF ALOT better than most complete first timers(no experience in music AT ALL).

Hm, wow really?
Appreciate the comment, I'm really enjoying the program! I think most the tunes in my head throughout life have been in 8bit without me even realizing it lol

Honestly, more and more songs are being composed on a chiptune "base" (not bass, but some do that, too) and you can hear that under the main melody if you listen really closely.

Excellent work, kage25130. It sounds like you already have good experience with music (though you say otherwise). I think you'll learn more tricks with FamiTracker when you do more songs, but his is a great start.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I've played guitar off and on (though I'm really not good due to lack of practice) and I've participated in the last few tune contests at gametabs, but I've seriously just begun to write my own stuff maybe a couple months ago. Then a friend at gametabs introduced me to famitracker and I made this for the current tune contest there. Anyways, glad you like it! Any CC would be greatly appreciated.

Nice. Instrumentation could be better but this is nice.

Thanks everyone!
The instrumentation is currently a struggle for me. Well, and the drums. This is actually the first piece I've done (out of about 3 or 4, mostly using anvil studio) that included drums. Any help (url's for tutorials, etc) for creating instruments would be a huuuge help...I've had trouble finding any with much substance.
Cant wait to start on my next one! This seems to be an excellent community and I plan to stay and get to know all of you through our music!

This is great, except I think the drums are a liiiitle bit over powering...if you don't mind...

No, not at all, I was thinking the same. I actually posted this thinking it would be ripped to shreds. Without honest feedback and no pulled punches I'll never get better. Thanks for the input!

This is godlike!
Also, you started with VRC6 right away...Interesting, you don't see many newcomers starting with VRC6.
I mean, listen to my first song! it was a load of crap.
